Love the start that I've had for this new year. 3 gigs already and it's just 10th Jan today.
The first one was on the 3rd of Jan at the first ever Tilak Nagar festival. And though I just did 3 songs, it was fantastic because I got to connect with a lot of people in my area. I've lived in Chembur for over 20 years now and I've barely ever performed in Chembur. It was such a joy to perform for the awesome audience here in Tilak Nagar.
The second gig was on the 7th of Jan at Hard Rock Cafe, Andheri and it was possibly the best gig we've had at a Hard Rock Cafe in the longest time! After a long time, we had a really nice band called The Pickled Octopii (fronted by my young cousin Vedant Joshi) opening for us and when we came on, the crowd at Hard Rock Andheri was something else. Fantastic night!
And today, I had my 3rd performance of the year with my good friend Shawn Pereira DoCarmo at Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS). We judged the group singing competition at their annual festival - Quintisscence 2016 and followed that with a nice little performance for what was possibly the best audience I've performed for. TISS guys and girls...you were absolutely brilliant. Every song we did was so much fun but to end it with Imagine was totally perfect.
Now I'm looking forward to going to Delhi this week for #WWELiveIndia and then coming back on the 17th and performing at India's first Teen Festival - Totem Pole!
